Performing Actions from the Action Selector

To perform an action listed by the Action Selector, simply select the action you want to perform from the drop-down and click Go.

If the selected action is a Go To URL-type action, the destination site is opened in either the same window or a new one, depending on how the action is defined.

If the selected action is a Create List Item-type action, one of two things will happen:

If the action is defined with static data and functions only, an attempt to create the list item is made and either the success or the failure message defined in the action definition is displayed.

If the action is defined with some values set to “Select at Runtime,” the user is prompted for that data. Once the user supplies that data and clicks Go, an attempt to create the list item is made and either the success or the failure message defined in the action definition is displayed.

NOTE: If the action is defined to be opened in a new window, make sure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups; if pop-ups are blocked, the action will fail.
