Usage

Usage of CorasWorks' online help is fairly straightforward, but there are a few features that you might not be aware of. These are accessed from the toolbar near the top of the page, shown here,

1.    Contents – Show the list of components in the left panel, as seen in the figure on the previous page.

2.    Index – Show the index, where you can scroll through all of the index entries or type the first few letters of what you are looking for in the "Look for" box.

3.    Search – Show the search area, where you can type the text you are looking for, click Go, and see a list of all help topics that include that text.

4.    Print a topic – Send the currently displayed topic to your printer.

5.    Send an email – Send an email to the CorasWorks Support team. When you select this option, a message is started for you, addressed to CorasWorks Support and containing a link to the currently displayed topic.

 

As an alternative to the online help developed by CorasWorks, there are End User Help properties on the basic component Display Wizard's Web Part Settings page that allow you to:

      Show or hide the help icon for users on the toolbar, web part menu, and display footer.

      Identify the URL for a different set of online help.

These properties do not affect the help displayed to builders in the Display Wizard; they apply only to the help provided for end users. The builder is responsible for creating and maintaining any alternative help that they identify here.

The online help is updated with each release and in between releases as necessary. If you have any suggestions for additional information you would like to see or if you have encountered anything that does not seem correct to you, please send an email to support@corasworks.net.
