This entry allows you to define the target window for the links provided in the web part. For example, if you wanted any links that are clicked on to open in a new window, you would type “_blank” in this field. Valid options include:
• _blank
• _parent
• _self
When this checkbox is selected (default), each navigation item is displayed within a horizontal bar or tabs across the zone in which the web part is placed. When this checkbox is left blank, each item is displayed in a vertical list.
When a vertical display is used, the web part utilizes 80% of the width of the web part zone. As a result, if you have brief menu options for a cascading menu and a wide web part zone, the arrows that denote another level of menu options may be a bit far from the menu text.
This property applies only when horizontal navigation is utilized. When this property is selected, the top-level navigation items are presented in a tabbed format, rather than a solid horizontal bar. Any lower-level views or cascading child options are not affected.
When this property is disabled, the top level navigation options are presented as a solid bar, without any tabs. This is how the menu bar at the top of each page in CorasWorks solutions is configured.
This property applies to both horizontal and vertical navigation. When this property is selected, the currently selected option on the top level of navigation is presented in a different color from the other top-level options. It provides a visible reminder of the navigation path when the user is on a lower level navigation option or view.
This property applies only when a vertical navigation is utilized. When this property is enabled, the top-level navigation options are presented in a bulleted list. When this property is disabled, no bullets are presented.
When this property is enabled and the SSN references one or more cascading menu lists, a breadcrumb trail will be appended to the page title displayed near the top of the page. Each item in the breadcrumb trail is hyperlinked for easy navigation.
