When the Show Item Link property is enabled (on the Display tab), the Cross-Connect allows the user to click on a child item and go to one of three destinations, based on a property set on the Other tab. The user can be brought to:
• The child list item’s display form, where all available details can be viewed
• The child list item’s edit form, where changes can be made
• A URL identified in the child list item, so the user will be brought to a site rather than the list item
o For example, if the user clicks on a project title, rather than displaying the list item for the project, a URL could be identified to bring the user to the project site
o When you select this option, a drop-down of available columns to select from is displayed. Select the column that contains the URL.
When you are finished making the necessary changes on this tab, click any other administration tab to save your changes and keep the administration interface open, or click OK to save your changes and return to the Cross-Connect display.
