NOTE: This topic applies only to versions of the SPS Workplace View Advanced web part from before the Summer 2005 release. If you are working with the Summer 2005 release, please see the Admin: Tab topics.
(Optional) Enter the URL for the first site you want to
access and from which you want to return management links, sites, and lists.
This can be any SharePoint site that resides on the same server as this web
part. The format for the URL must be:
http://Site-URL/SiteName.
Examples:
http://www.sitename.com/
http://www.sitename.com;http://www.sitename2.com
http://www.sitename.com/site1
http://www.sitename.com/site1/site1a
If you leave this field blank, it will default to the site where the web part is instantiated.
(Optional) Enter the number of levels to be searched to find sites and lists for the web part. The maximum number of levels is 7, the default is 1. If you want to include more than one level, be sure to enter a numerical value in this box.
Please make sure that a number is entered in this field. If you spell out a number, it will result in an error and no lists will be found.
Toggle this checkbox on to show the Self Management Folder for each site returned.
Toggle this checkbox on to show the Administration Folder for each site returned.
Toggle this checkbox on to show the Lists Folder for each site returned.
Toggle this checkbox on to show the sites available below the URL defined in the Site URL field.
Send Sub Areas URLS
By default, site collection URLs are sent when a web part connection has been established between the SPS Workplace View Advanced and the Workplace View Advanced. By enabling the Send Sub Areas URLS property, sub-area URLs will be sent instead of site collection URLs.
Return Properties
Division Filter
This field is used to identify the Field Title and Text value you want to use to filter the sites in the sites sub-area. The format for this field is "Field_Title;Text".
Example: Division;IT
(Optional) This field is used to define how you want to have links opened from the web part. Valid options include “_self”, “_parent”, “_top”, “Custom”, or any other variable permitted by a target reference in an anchor (<a>) tag. The default is “_self.”
(Optional) Enter the name for the homepage of the site (*.aspx). This is useful if, in a framed environment, the homepage you have set up is default.aspx, but the display page for the body frame of the page is index.aspx. The default for this field is default.aspx for general sites.
Show List Item Count
Toggle this checkbox on to show the total number of items in each list returned.
Show Sites Expanded
Toggle this checkbox on to have each site with folders or sub-sites returned in an expanded form. The number of sites returned depends on the number of levels chosen in the "Site Levels Returned" field.
Suppress Errors
Toggle this checkbox on hide any site access errors.
